From Knoxville to Ellijay, GA—on the road again

Shellie: It wasn’t easy, but we did have to leave Faye and Jack’s home. The first pic is the scene they are forced to look at from their back porch. Poor things, suffering for Jesus they are..

River: Southern hospitality took on a new charm as they opened their door and their hearts to these two tired writers on the road.

Found Jamee and her adorable coffee bar on the way. Coffee, always coffee and more coffee.

Set two books free at the coffee shop. River released, “The Last of the Mohicans” and I released “The Swiss Courier”. Find out more about releasing  books at http://www. bookcrossing.com

Shellie: And, THIS is where I got all kinds of sad. Met Cleo at a hardware store who looked just like and I mean, just like Dixie Belle, the baby I left home. They say everyone has a twin. Dixie’s has an obsession similar to her tennis ball fetish. Only, Cleo’s addiction is to having visitors toss rocks for her to retrieve. The way it works is that she places the rock on your shoe, you toss it with your foot, and she FINDS it, that rock, that very rock, from all the others on the the concrete.

Don’t forget me, Dixie Belle—I am coming home again and I will throw your tennis bal, tomboy honor.

River: While Shellie was whining about her Dixie Belle lookalike I was falling in love with Darlene’s 55 Chevy Bel Air. Darlene assured me that it was gonna be washed today and she hated for me to picture it dirty but I find this baby sweet beyond words. And have I mentioned I’m a car girl and not a cow girl?

Next stop, Cowan’s Book Nook, Ellijay, GA at noon today, (Saturday).

Keep praying, Keep believing,

River and Shellie
